Canvassing board meetings are open to the general public for observation. During canvassing board meetings and upon request, reasonable access to inspect ballot materials is available to a candidate, a political party official, or a political committee official, or an authorized designee thereof, pursuant to 101.572, Florida Statutes. In addition, upon request, a physically present candidate, a political party official, a political committee official, or an authorized designee thereof, is allowed to observe the duplication of ballots upon signing an affidavit affirming his or her acknowledgment that disclosure of election results discerned from observing the ballot duplication process while the election is ongoing is a felony, pursuant to 102.141(2)(a), Florida Statutes. To request access, please contact our office at 850-547-1107 to complete the necessary forms. Requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance.

Canvass Meetings
The Holmes County Cavassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida to conduct the Logic and Accuracy Testing(L & A) of the voting equipment for the 2026 Elections.
2026 Primary Election: Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00am.
2026 General Election: Friday, October 9, 2026 at 10:00am.
The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida to canvass vote-by-mail ballots on the following dates:
2026 Primary Election:
Monday, August 3, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Monday, August 17, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM
2026 General Election:
Monday, October 19, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Monday, October 26, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Monday, November 2, 2026, at 9:30 AM
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Vote-by-Mail Certificate Envelopes for the 2026 Primary and General Elections will be available for public inspection one hour prior to each Canvassing Board Meeting. In order to view Vote-By-Mail ballot certificates on election days, after 2:00 PM, you must be present.
Canvass Provisional Ballots/Vote-By-Mail Cure Affidavits
The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida on Thursday, August 20, 2026, for the Primary Election at 3:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 5, 2026, for the General Election at 3:00 p.m. to canvass provisional ballots cast and Vote by Mail Cure Affidavits in the 2026 Primary and General Elections.
Canvass 10-Day UOCAVA Ballots
The Canvassing Board will convene for the Primary Election on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM and for the General Election on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 3:00 PM to canvass any overseas ballots received and to certify the 2026 Primary and General Elections to the Department of State.
