Notice of Election

2026 Primary and General Elections Public Notice

Notice of General Election (NGE) stating which offices and vacancies are to be filled at the 2026 General Election are available in English.

 

All Canvassing Board Meetings are open to the public.

  • Vote-by-Mail certificate envelopes for the 2026 Primary and General Elections will be available for public inspection by appointment 30 minutes prior to each Canvassing Board meeting.
  • In order to view the Primary Election VBM ballot certificates on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 after 2:00 pm, you must be present.
  • In order to view the General Election VBM ballot certificates on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 after 2:00 pm, you must be present.

Early Voting Dates and Times for 2026 Primary and General Elections

Primary Election: Saturday, August 8, 2026, through Saturday, August 15, 2026, 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.

General Election: Saturday, October 24, 2026. through Saturday, October 31, 2026, 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.

Early voters will have reserved parking in the rear of the courthouse. The back door to the Supervisor of Elections office will be open during the Early Voting hours. If you choose to come through the main (front) entrance of the courthouse, you will be required to exit through the back door of the courthouse. There will be no entry or re-entry available to the main part of the courthouse from the Supervisor of Elections office which is located in the basement of the courthouse.

Deadline to Request Vote-By-Mail Ballot

The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the 2026 Primary Election is Thursday, August 6, 2026 and for the 2026 General Election is Thursday, October 22, 2026. You may request by calling 850-547-1107; our website at www.holmeselectionsfl.gov; or in person at 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, FL32425

VERY IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your signature on file in the Supervisor of Elections Office is current when voting by mail. Florida Statute 101.68 requires that the signature on the vote-by-mail voter certificate must match the voter signature on file in the Supervisor of Elections office.

Audit of 2026 Primary and General Elections Voting System

The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida on Friday, August 28th at 10:00am to conduct an audit of the voting equipment used in the 2026 Primary Election.

The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida on Friday, November 13th at 10:00am to conduct an audit of the voting equipment used in the 2026 General Election.
